Daily Bible Verse
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Reflection
On this June morning, the prophet Jeremiah's voice reaches across the centuries to remind us of a staggering truth: every sunrise is a fresh outpouring of divine mercy. Jeremiah penned these words from the rubble of Jerusalem, surrounded by destruction and grief, yet he could still declare God's compassions to be new each morning. If hope could bloom in the ash heap of Lamentations, surely it can bloom in whatever wilderness you find yourself in today. The mercies that meet you this morning are not yesterday's leftovers — they are freshly given, custom-fit to the trials and triumphs you will face in the next twenty-four hours. Notice the rhythm Scripture sets: God's faithfulness is tied to the daily cycle, not the yearly one. He does not ask you to muster faith for a lifetime, only for today. The manna in the wilderness fell each morning (Exodus 16:21), and those who tried to hoard it found it spoiled by sunrise. So it is with grace — you cannot stockpile it, but you will never lack it. Whatever burden you carried into last night, lay it down. The God who held you yesterday has already prepared today's portion of mercy, and tomorrow's supply is being readied even now. Let this verse reshape how you greet each dawn. Before you check your phone, before you taste your coffee, whisper the words: 'Great is thy faithfulness.' Let gratitude be your first language and trust be your first posture. The same God who kept the stars in their courses through the night has not forgotten you — and His compassions, like the morning light, are already streaming through your window.
