Daily Bible Verse

Lamentations 3:22-23 · KJV
It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Reflection

In the heart of Jeremiah's lament over a broken Jerusalem, a sudden sunrise breaks through the darkness. The prophet, surrounded by ruin and grief, lifts his eyes and remembers a truth that anchors every weary soul: the mercies of God are not rationed by our failures, nor exhausted by yesterday's sins. They are freshly poured out with each dawn, like manna in the wilderness that could not be hoarded but had to be gathered new each day. Whatever burdens you carried into last night's sleep, this morning God meets you with compassions that have never grown thin. Great is His faithfulness — not because circumstances are always favorable, but because His character is unchanging. The same God who sustained Israel through exile sustains you through every season of uncertainty, whether financial, emotional, or spiritual. His faithfulness is the bedrock beneath shifting markets, broken relationships, and unmet expectations. When we build our lives and our wealth on His promises rather than on the volatile sands of human enterprise, we discover a stability that no earthly loss can shake. Today, receive His mercy as fresh bread from heaven. Do not carry yesterday's shame into today's calling. Rise, gather what He provides, and walk forward in the confidence that the One who has been faithful from generation to generation will not fail you now. Let gratitude be your first offering, and watch how it reshapes the rest of your day.
