Biblical Financial Wisdom: 7 Core Principles

Scripture contains a complete financial operating system. This teaching synthesises seven biblical principles that, applied together, produce lasting and God-honouring prosperity.

Proverbs 4:7Proverbs 21:5Proverbs 22:7Luke 6:38Matthew 6:24
The Bible is the oldest and most proven financial manual ever written. Here are seven principles that, applied consistently, build unshakeable financial foundations. 1. Seek Wisdom First (Proverbs 4:7): Every financial decision should flow from wisdom. Read, learn, and seek counsel before committing resources. 2. Plan Diligently (Proverbs 21:5): The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. Budget. Set goals. People who plan prosper. 3. Save Consistently (Proverbs 21:20): The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down. Save a percentage of every income, no matter how small. 4. Avoid Destructive Debt (Proverbs 22:7): The borrower is slave to the lender. Never borrow to consume; only borrow to multiply. 5. Work Excellently (Proverbs 22:29): A person skilled in their work will serve before kings. Excellence is your competitive advantage in any market. 6. Give Consistently (Luke 6:38): Generosity is the engine of Kingdom multiplication. Build giving into your financial plan as non-negotiable. 7. Trust God Over Money (Matthew 6:24): You cannot serve both God and money. Money is a tool, not a master. Keep it in its proper place.
